Anxiety Disorders
Anxiety disorders are the most common mental illnesses, affecting approximately one in eight American children and 40 million American adults, according to the National Institute of Mental Health. The term “anxiety disorder” refers to generalized anxiety disorder (GAD), obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), panic disorder, social anxiety disorder (also called social phobia), and specific phobias.
