Alex is a couple and family therapist who offers empathetic and compassionate treatment for children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. Alex utilizes systems theories to assist clients in exploring how our relationships and environment impact our larger goals. In addition to systems theories, Alex utilizes various other evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT).
Having experience working with depression, anxiety, Attention-Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and eating disorders, Alex can provide an individualized and well-informed treatment plan for clients and their loved ones. Alex is a LGBTQ+- competent practitioner.
Through her work at Child Guidance Resource Centers, Alex has also gained experience in utilizing behavioral interventions for children and adolescents. She believes in developing a professional relationship with clients and focuses on building a trusting and supportive environment.
Alex received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Arcadia University and her Master’s Degree in Couple and Family Therapy with a specialization in Medical Family Therapy and Family Trauma.
